In partnership with CCR Magazine, we will bring you some excellent speakers and topics for the first edition of Global Women in Construction.

Karalynn Cromeens, Owner & Managing Partner, The Cromeens Law Firm

Session Title — “Construction Contracts & Collections for Women: The Backbone of the Construction Industry”

Karalynn Cromeens is the Owner and Managing Partner for The Cromeens Law Firm, PLLC, Karalynn holds more than 16 years of experience practising construction, real estate, and business law. Within her professional career, Karalynn has successfully filed more than a thousand lawsuits to foreclose or remove mechanic’s liens, with several of those.

Sophia Amunategui, the President of the CDO Group

Session Title — “Project Management 101 and Becoming a Certified Construction Project Manager”

Sophia is an experienced Construction Attorney with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry, and in particular contract review/drafting, negotiation, and adjudication. Graduate of DePaul University College of Law.

She is also President of CDO Group, Inc., a woman-owned business (WOB) that provides multi-unit retail companies and their franchisees with a comprehensive, reliable and cost-effective General Contracting and Construction Management alternative to adding supplementary internal staff.

Session Title — “How Women Globally can Collaborate to Create Sustainable Change, Especially in Light of the IPCC Report”

Emma is an accomplished and skilled Chartered Construction Manager and Chartered Environmentalist with Board level experience. She is passionate about achieving quality projects and was nominated in 2018 for an Excellence Award in quality of project delivery of Leeds Art Gallery and Leeds Library roof restoration.

Sangeeta Waldron, author, “Corporate Social Responsibility is not Public Relations,” and Owner, Serendipity PR & Media

Session Title — “Why Corporate Social Responsibility should be at the Heart of Your Business”

Sangeeta Waldron is a multi-award winning Public Relations professional and was recently named in Commetric’s top ‘15 of Women Influencers in PR & Communications’ and in the ‘Top 100 of the PR Influencer Index.’ She runs her own London based PR agency, Serendipity PR & Media.

Sangeeta’s new book, Corporate Social Responsibility Is Not Public Relations is out. Her first business book, The PR Knowledge Book published in 2019.

A regular international speaker and moderator, she is also a podcaster for the award-winning podcast platform, Irish Tech News and contributing global editor for the India CSR Network, the largest news platform on sustainable business news in India. She guest lectures at Coventry University.

Sangeeta started out her career writing speeches for a previous UK Prime Minister and Ministers. She has worked at the top level with big, powerful global brands, including being the Global Communications Director for the Economist Group; the Mayor of London; Cass Business School; and charities.
