His research project, “Smart Cities and Ageing Societies: Exploring Policy and Technological Approaches for Supporting Dementia Care in China and Ireland,” examines the inclusivity and connectivity impacts of smart city initiatives on ageing populations with cognitive impairments in Shanghai and Dublin. The study combines narrative interviews with key policymakers and analysis of policies and archival records.
Yuyang’s professional experience focuses on media and sustainable development. During his studies in Hong Kong, he delved into data journalism and machine learning.
His academic and career background includes serving as a data operations intern in the Chinese media industry, where he contributed to planning initiatives bridging corporate and government interests, spanning areas such as e-commerce and smart cities.
Yuyang is volunteering with Constructive Voices to strengthen his skills in research, content creation, and communication, to explore new sustainability topics of interest, and to offer his expertise to help the team inspire change.
